Gilead Switzerland new member
We are very happy to welcome Gilead Sciences Switzerland Sàrl as a new member of All.Can Switzerland. Gilead joined us in March 2021 and will be represented in the Board and other bodies. Gilead Switzerland is a biopharmaceutical company that discovers, develops and commercializes innovative therapeutics in areas of unmet medical need, including oncology.
Events
All.Can Switzerland 1st General Assembly
All.Can Switzerland has now had official legal status as an association for one year. Accordingly, the first general assembly with all All.Can Switzerland members successfully took place on 24 March 2021, including a keynote speech from Eduardo Pisani, CEO of All.Can International. We are looking forward to great projects and workshops in the year 2021 and to continuously enlarge our membership.
Presentation on Cancer Support for Adolescents and Young Adults (AYA)
On 31 March 2021, our member Sina Staudinger was invited to present her work regarding adolescents and young adults with cancer in the National Initiatives Working Group meeting. Based on her research as part of the 2019 Doctorates programme «Fresh Ideas for Cancer Care» at the University of Zurich (supported by All.Can Switzerland), Sina Staudinger launched the online platform ayacancersupport.ch. The website offers AYAs and relatives affected by cancer a platform containing all information on the topic of young age & cancer.
