Presentation of All.Can Greece at informational event in Ioannina city – October 2019
The recently established All.Can Greece was presented at a special information event about the improvement of oncological care and rehabilitation in Ioannina city, that was co-organized by All.Can Greece, Hellenic Cancer Federation, its local cancer patient association “Eimaste Mazi” and the oncological clinic of the University Hospital of Ioannina.
During the event, which was held on October 12, 2019, the attendees were meticulously informed about the scopes and targets of All.Can International and the subsequent Greek initiative of All.Can Greece.
Moreover the attendees were informed about the possible ways of participation in All.Can Greece initiative, the benefits that may ensue from their participation, the current inadequacies and inefficiencies of cancer patient care in Greece as well as for the possible ways of engagement on the public consultation concerning the improvement of oncological care in the region (northwestern Greece).
The event also included the presentation of the All.Can Patient Survey results that had taken place from December 2018 to February 2019.
Presentation of All.Can Greece at Hellenic Cancer Federation Round Table held in 14th Panhellenic Congress of Surgical Oncology in Athens – October 2019
The All.Can Greece initiative was introduced and presented in the context of 14th Panhellenic Congress of Surgical Oncology in Athens.
During the round table that was coordinated by the Hellenic Cancer Federation on October 31st, members of All.Can Greece presented the targets and the vision of the All.Can International and All.Can Greece.
The information also included the presentation of the All.Can Patient Survey results that had taken place from December 2018 to February 2019.
Presentation of All.Can Greece at 7th Oncology Nursing Symposium in Tripoli – November 2019
In the context of the 7th Nursing Oncology Symposium that was held in Tripoli city, members of All.Can Greece introduced the targets and the vision of All.Can International and All.Can Greece, on November 8, 2019.
More specifically, George Kapetanakis, Secretary of the Hellenic Cancer Federation – ELLOK introduced to the conventioneers the All.Can international platform, its scopes and objectives and its importance of the initiative on transnational level.
Kathi Apostolidis, President of the Hellenic Cancer Federation – ELLOK focused on the inefficiencies and weaknesses on oncological care in Greece and the benefits that the section may obtain from the initiatives and actions of All.Can Greece.
Professor Athanasios Vozikis from the Lab of Health Economics and Management of University of Piraeus laid emphasis on the potential advantages that can be derived from participation of healthcare and other stakeholders on All.Can Greece initiative.
The presentation ended with the presentation of All.Can Patient Survey results that had taken place from December 2018 to February 2019.
Presentation of All.Can Greece at the Clinical and Translational Oncology Conference in Heraklion, Crete – November 2019
The All.Can Greece was presented by members of the Hellenic Cancer Federation in the context of their participation in the Clinical and Translational Oncology Conference that was held in Heraklion, Crete, on November 14-15, 2019.
George Kapetanakis, Secretary of the BOD of Hellenic Cancer Federation – ELLOK introduced All.Can International, its scopes and objectives and the importance of the initiative on transnational level while Maria Theodoridou, member of the BOD of Hellenic Cancer Federation – ELLOK informed the participants about the newly created Greek section of the initiative. An open round table discussion concerning All.Can Initiative followed, coordinated by Ioannis Boukovinas, president of EOPE and Giorgos Pissakas, president of EEAO while Christos Lionis, Professor of General Practice and Primary Health Care, Medical School, University of Crete contributed to the discussion .
